A particularly beautiful hand carved bust of a Balinese man by A.A. Fatimah Bali - circa 1940. Beautiful old patina and polished remarkably smooth as they used to do back then, nowadays you don’t see this as much anymore. Minor damage in the headscarf (see photo). A.A. A. Fatimah worked in Bali during 1940 and 1950 and was known for his wooden ebony sculptures. He also made use of other indigenous wood species such as sandalwood.
