Advertising model of a travel agency. Advertising model of the Italian liner Michelangelo (1965) of the shipping company Italia Navigazione Italian Line. Here for the Italy-New York and Caribbean Line. Plastic model with wooden base and custom plexiglass hood. Circa 1970 Italian manufacturing by Modelcraft Genova Italy, (manufacturer label available). Dimensions: Length base 66.7 cm, height 17.5 cm. Width: In very well-preserved condition. Complete, no broken elements. Old exhibition model, therefore small and slight exposure flaws: the paper warps slightly at some places on the deck and there is a small lack of paint on the upper deck pool. slightly rippled waterline with a spot marked with blistered paint or glue residue, as well as a stain. All without altering the general aesthetic. The plexiglass case shows some fine scratches and traces of use. The Michelangelo has a dual career: passenger pleasure transport and military transport for troop and quartering.
