Cave Bear - Teeth - Ursus spelaeus - 9×9.5×9.5 cm
Set of 3 Impressive canine teeth of cave bears.
Measures around 9-9.5 cm
The cave bear (Ursus spelaeus) was a large bear species that lived during the Pleistocene. It was found in large parts of Europe, from the south of England to the Caucasus. The males could grow up to 3.5 meters tall when standing on their hind legs and weigh around 450 kilos, which is about three times the weight of an average Eurasian brown bear. The cave bear and the brown bear did not only differ in size, but also in other aspects. For example, the cave bear has a less pronounced snout and a lower forehead. Its front legs were longer and stronger than its hind legs. The cave bear's diet was mainly vegetarian.
