Bas-relief representing a choir of cherubs (1) - gypsum or scagliola - 20th century
Antique 20th century bas-relief sculpture, depicting a choir of singing cherubs. The lower part features an engraved line of musical score with notes. Beautiful and one of a kind item. It seems to be gypsum dust or plaster, but I cannot be more precise since I am not a connoisseur.
I am sure this has been a model for the same subject in bronze or other material, which is now probably part of some important building/villa or museum. Dimensions in cm: 70 x 22.5 x 2. The bas-relief or sculpture is sold as is, with small imperfections and the expected wear and tear. For condition, please refer to the photos.
