Vintage jug in the shape of a colourful rooster. Manufactured in the pottery factory of Saint-Clément near Lunéville, France. Made by use of the barbotine technique (rather thick swipes or stripes of coloured glaze). Around 1930, the factory stopped using this technique. Marked on the bottom S Clément France, numbered 7516 (hard to read due to the glaze). This jug is flawless! Height 34.5 cm.
