Fine Italian Violin CELESTE FAROTTO Fece In Milano L`Anno 1951.
A gorgeous Italian labeled violin with a warm robust soloist tone suitable for any player. Set up with new Pirastro Tonica strings. Plays like a cannon! The top is a finely grained spruce. Maple back is a gorgeous two piece slab exceptionally bookmatched as are the sides neck and delicately carved scroll of similarly figured maple. Ebony fingerboard and fittings with accented lighter wood probably rosewood trim. Single ‘e’ hill style fine tuner for loop or ball end. The chinrest is guarnieri style and exceptionally comfortable to play. Varnish has some ware and is a lovely coat of golden amber under yellow-gold which shines through the overcoat is golden orange accents. A truly superb instrument. Comes without paperwork; case or bow. Not returns or exchanges. Offers accepted. International buyers welcome.
