Volkswagen Beetle from 1949, a rarity both for its year and for its history, with rebuilt engine, it just covered 3000 km, overhauled brakes in good condition, not restored (paint polishing with touch ups in places) but preserved (all parts and accessories are original, except for the luggage rack and wheel cups) and with some small change in style.
Car deliberately left in its ‘originality’ because it has a lot of history, something very rare for such a car. It travelled around the world and then settled in Africa for several years (where it was a car for safari tourism, for this reason it has a mechanism that was used on Volkswagen war cars, see 1938 Kubelvagen). Then it went back to Germany, Berlin, in photos you can see some pages of its ‘travel journal’ history starting from Germany, travelling all over Europe, then arriving in Ethiopia, and finally in Italy, everything specified in its history. Also, it has an internal Zenith clock from the A. Cairelli factory in Rome, which was produced for the Air Force around 1941 (as you can see from the picture) and was used on the control panels of the Italian fighter and bomber aircraft of the Royal Air Force.
