This iron-cast staircase originates from a stately home in Ripley, not far from the south coast of England. Beautiful robust staircase, brilliantly discoloured. The dimensions: Height of the post: 249 cm (incl 2cm base) Pole diameter: 6.5 cm Height step: 18.35 cm Number of steps: 13 Diameter of stairs: 154 cm Height backrest: 85 cm. A twist of just over 3 quarters is reached after 13 steps. Distance floor / upper step = 238.5 cm. Maximum floor height is thus about 257 cm. Of course this can be changed somewhat. Stairs have been completely checked, threaded ends / screws have been repaired and/or replaced. The pole consists of 1 piece, the railing from 2. The staircase fits in a (whole) hefty trunk.
