Decorative round white marble plate inlaid with semi-precious stones. Blue: lapis lazuli / Orange: carnelian / Green: malachite / Glossy white: mother of pearl.
Blue marquetry box containing a ribbon in the colours of the Indian flag and a small cardboard medal representing the official emblem accompanied by the motto of India: "सत्यमेव जयते" (Only truth triumphs).
Handmade from Agra in northern India with the traditional method of "Pietra Dura". The marble is made hollow using a carving tool according to the drawing and each small piece of stone is shaped to be inlaid in this complex pattern.

Good overall condition, wear of age and use, some loss of glow, micro-scratches and defects on the stones. A piece of carnelian under the blue flower is missing (photo 6).
Box worn, one of the two fabric stems on the left side is missing, some stains on the marquetry. One of the holding pads is also missing at the bottom left. The photos are part of the description.
