Aug de Waele - Accordion - Belgium

Accordion. Belgium. Height 42 cm, width 45 cm. After the First World War, the workshop of Auguste De Waele came into full bloom, who mainly acquired fame because of his technical innovations to the accordion. August De Waele founded the business and left the company to his adopted Italian son Bruno De Waele (1880-1952). He had become a resourceful repairer of accordions at the Brussels accordion repair atelier Solari. Around 1900, he opened a repair atelier himself. He invented such ingenious applications that the Italian accordion manufacturer Scandalli released new instruments with De Waele’s adaptations. The Waele was therefore given the import rights of the brand. Missing five keys.
