The Waterloo Museum Battle of Waterloo Chess Set Crafted in fine pewter by The Franklin Mint Consists of authentic sculptured portraits of the heroes of the battle designed by Philip J Haythornthwaite and historically authentic in every detail Dated 1984 All figures are present and look to be in good condition with no damage. The board and presentation box for the figures are also in good used condition, the odd small mark but nothing to spoil them. Chess pieces are sitting in the wooden box with its lid serving as a chess board. Box / board size: 35 cm x 35 cm x approx. 7 cm high. King measures 6 cm, the Queen is 5.5 cm and pawns are 5 cm high. Comes with its certificate of authenticity and identification cards for the French and the Allies, together with a description card for each of the French and Allied figures.
