Petitot & Ezan - Art Deco chandelier Deckenlampe

PETITOT & EZAN A large 1930-1935 French art deco chandelier in nickel plated solid brass or bronze by the famous Paris based company maison Petitot holding 6 opalescent Ezan cups. The bronze maker Antonin Petitot started his company in 1878. His son Henri took over in 1917. In the early days of art deco they produced precious fixtures in high quality bronze with shades from the best french glass factories such as Muller freres and Degué. In the late 30's they changed their style and produced lights in a modernist look. These beautiful lamps often had opalescent shades in bluish semi-crystal by the Ezan , a signature of the glass company of Jean Gauthier (EJG). With beautiful tones of milky blue or warm amber depending whether light falls on it or shines through. The chandelier is in excellent condition. The six shades are signed Ezan France. They have a diameter of 22 cm. The fixture has been replated. It has a height of 98 cm. I could shorten the chain and reduce the drop to 79 cm. The chandelier has a diameter of 78 cm. It comes rewired. It has european E14 sockets. For the US or Japan I will place six American candelabra base ones. The lamp will be shipped in three parcels. To make the mounting fit the maximum size parcel the post allows I will probably have to demount it , I will add an instruction how to mount it again. Safe packaging guaranteed : As specialized restorer of French art Deco lighting for over 20 years I ship my parcels worldwide with the fragile items well protected and fully insured.
