Beautiful original lifetime casting.
Bronze sculpture is in excellent condition with a lovely two tone patination.
The modelling is exquisite and typical of the work of Raoul Larche, who died in 1912. Raoul Larche was one of the most important sculptors of the Art Nouveau period.
The work is clearly titled and signed, with a clear foundry mark and casting number.
The dimensions of this heavy bronze are 40cm x 15cm x 15cm.
The antique socle is included in the sale. It 21cm diameter by 12cm high. With the sculpture on top, it stands 52cm tall by 21cm wide in total. The socle is ebonised wood and showing some age related wear, but is full of character.
