Oil on panel - signed at the bottom left. The Flemish painter Victor Doumont was born in Mechelen in 1946. He paints in a very typical style that is hard to classify, though immediately recognisable. It is a mix of impressionism and naivety. Especially his beach scenes from the beginning of the 20th century are loved by collectors. This cheerful, and quite large, painting is in good condition but it could do with some cleaning. The surface looks somewhat yellowish. Framed in an original, white-painted wooden frame.
