An Imperial typewriter from the years 1930/40 that was apparently in use at the Department of Justice, judging by the name of this former national service, written on the right side. This makes this machine only more special for the collector. This specific model No. 50 is labelled with "War Finish", affixed under the "Imperial" emblem, indicating a rather unusual feature that this machine has and that is that the whole mechanism is lined with rifle blue to prevent corrosion. The slide of the typewriter still works well, as well as the hammers. The throughput of the (completely dried) black type ribbon no longer works.
