A fir wood overdoor painted in polychromy with grotesque decorations, in the centre is a jug with a festoon. It comes from the Lido of Venice and used to furnish the rooms dedicated to the arts, in which these curious artefacts were in vogue. It has very strong colours, which certainly gave a touch of extravagance to the environment. It dates back to the second half of the 19th century It is still in good condition, except for some small pigment deficiencies, and retains its first patina. Excellent tasteful piece of furniture.
