Superb sculpture by Affortunato Gory (1895-1925) Signed A.Gory, 615 in plaster. Gory was an Italian sculptor active from 1895 to 1925, year when he passed away in Paris. Originally from Florence, he studied sculpture at the Academy under the direction of Auguste Rivalta. Gory emigrated to Paris early 20th century to practice his art. He exhibited at the Salon des Artists Français in 1902 with a bronze and marble bust of a woman and presented his works there up to 1923. Gory is a great renowned artist! This old bust is a real collectible. Size: height: 32 cm and shoulder width: 15 cm In good overall condition considering its age. It has some enamel flaws which does not take away its beauty and charm. See pictures.
