Round plate made of cloisonné Longwy enamels with a dominant red/burgundy colour (very rare), with 21k gold edging. Very lovely decor of flowers and pink leaves on a ‘cream’ background Longwy ceramic stamped and signed M.P. Chevalier, “Plaisance” collection, dated circa 1955. M.P. Chevalier was the artistic director of the Longwy factory between 1945 and 1952. (The Longwy factory is a World Heritage Site). - Plate in very good condition, no chips or cracks.
