Roberto Salas (1940-) - Ché Guevara, Cuba, 1964

This print was purchased from Roberto Salas personally in Cuba in the late 1990s. It is a darkroom print on Ilford Fiber Base paper. The negative is by Roberto Salas in 1964 of Che Guevara smoking a cigar. Iconic photo of the Che. The print has been stored since I bought it. Roberto stopped making silver archive prints around the year 2000, first turning to resin prints and then to inkjet. All the prints that I sell are from this silver collection. Feel free to contact me for any questions. Roberto Salas with his father and photographers such as Alberto Korda and Raul Corrales is considered the group that portrayed the Cuban Revolution. Widely awarded in Cuba and abroad. Being his work in the most important museums in the world. He currently collaborates with the Cuban Photo Library and holds exhibitions.
