REINAD New York honeycomb hexagon 18kt gold plated wide link bracelet from 1940's. Extremely rare!! in this width. 5 rows of hexagon shaped chain links surrounded by half hexagon shaped links on both sides. Condition is excellent with minor sign of age at the back and clasp. Size: 18 cm Width: 2,8 cm Reinad started making high quality jewellery in 1922, most of his jewellery sold under other famous designers' names. They produced few of their designs under their own name, but were for the most part a jobber/wholesale facility producing jewelry for many of the high end names you will recognize: Chanel, Boucher, Carnegie and Eisenberg. [See "A Tribute to America" by Brunialti and Brunialti, p. 28.] Fred Rezazadeh in his book "Costume Jewelry" states "If you see a piece of Reinad jewelry you like, try to buy it, for you will not get a second chance."
