This model was used by officers in France and Europe. It was sold in large numbers to the United States during the American Civil War (especially in the north). Military model with a finger rest trigger guard and a "diamond" cap. Pinfire revolver, 12 shots, calibre 12mm. Round canon marked "InvON E. Lefaucheux Brté Paris"; frame marked "L F 56076" and "Inv E. Lefaucheux Bvte SGDG à Paris" on the other side (barely visible). Walnut butt plates (a repair on one plate, see photo).
