The Technics series 1500, 1506, 1520, 1700 and 1800 are by far the nicest looking reel to reels. For many it was the workhorse of the reel tot reels. This unit I just restored has playback response of 25-30Khz +/- 0.5db, at -10db modulation, which blew me away when I heard it put it all together. It is fully revised and all elco's are replaced because they will die in time.. 1st owner and It comes with an original remote RP-070 and Logitech Harmony controller. 142 caps are replaced, all belts are new, all soldering points resoldered, tensioners rebuild, brakes renewed and readjusted. Motors disassembled and assembled with new oil or grease ( Lithium ). Tape sensor micro-switches replaced. All switches and contacts are cleaned and deoxidized. Heads are cleaned and in very good working condition. ll is calibrated to factory specs with dual mV meter and wow and flutter meter. All in all a very desirable deck with outstanding performance that could last for another 40 years. It comes with 2 original Nab adaptors, 2 rubber spacers, 2 brand new reels and 1 new tape with a copy of the user manual.
