This is a very realistic resin replica with materials that are identical to the real skull relics of bokonos.
The front bones imitate the tusks of the African elephant.

A voodoo skull is an unusual relic that does not leave us, Europeans, indifferent. As tangible and material traces of the deceased ancestors, the relics maintain the memory of the deceased, the link between the world of the living and that of the dead.
The so-called "over-modelled" skulls are covered with a thick layer of clay, sometimes encrusted with various materials such as the red Abrus seeds, with the Tiv.
The mouth is often sewn with threads of raffia or fabric, and the whole can receive various colour pigments.
