Vanadinite is a mineral belonging to the phosphate apatite group, with the chemical formula Pb5 (VO4) 3Cl. It is one of the main industrial ores of vanadium metal and a small source of lead. A dense and breakable mineral that is usually found in the form of red hexagonal crystals. It is an unusual mineral, formed by the oxidation of lead ore deposits, such as galena. First discovered in 1801 in Mexico, Vanadinite deposits have already been discovered in South America, Europe, Africa and North America.

Barite is a mineral consisting of barium sulphate (BaSO4). Barite is usually white or colourless and it is the main source of barium. The barite group consists of barite, celestine (strontium sulphate), anglesite (lead sulphate) and anhydride (calcium sulphate). Barite and celestine form a solid solution (Ba, Sr) SO4
