Created in 1946 by Jules Nappey, the Société Nouvelle des Montres Nappey in Besançon, existed until the 1970s. It was the official timekeeper of the Tour de France between 1958 and 1960 and was also the sponsor of the television programme "Reine d'un Jour" hosted by Jean Nohain during the early 1950s.    
Magnificent, in perfect cosmetic condition, this new Nappey model from the 1940s/50s from an old watchmaker's stock is entirely in steel. Its casing has a diameter of 34 mm without the crown with large lugs and a screw back.  Very beautiful dial with several silver-coloured reflections, painted numerals, central crown to mark the minutes, gold-coloured skeleton hands and a small second hand at 6 o'clock. Frost-free Plexiglas.  New high-quality in anti-allergy brown leather, 19 cm without the pin. Mechanical movement with manual winding, in good working condition Beautiful ancient model for collectors.  Registered shipping, handled with care. Happy bidding everyone!
