1st half 20th century, Berlin, in very good condition
Beautiful antique globe of Columbus, Berlin.
The globe was marketed as Model 200 around 1925.
The political and physical map image is very detailed and shows many specific characteristics about the trade/shipping/aviation and railway routes as well as telegraph connections.
Also, deposits of mineral resources and industries are indicated.
The map shows the boundaries of just after World War i. Still visible are Petersburg, Constantinople (now Istanbul).
The globe has a diameter of 33 cm and on its wooden foot it measures a height of about 60 cm. The protractor is metal and in the foot is a working compass.
Despite some slight aging tracks the globe is in a beautiful state with lots of patina.
See the photos, these are a significant part of the description.
