Wooden statue of a warrior - Maori - New-Zealand

A carved wooden image, 45½ cm high, representation of a Maori warrior with traditionally tattooed face. The eyes are inlaid with Paua (abalone) shell mother of pearl. A label is attached to it stating that the artist is Des Mohi. On Etsy recently a sculpture of Des Mohi featured who was taken by the seller in 1958 from New Zealand, so we suspect that this has something age. Perhaps 70s - 80s. Condition: The statue is in good condition. Minor scratches. The parcel is carefully packed and sent by registered mail.
