TIBETAN. "Tibetan rugs" today describes, on the one hand, hand-knotted carpets from Tibet, the highest region in the world, and on the other hand, also the carpets woven by exiled Tibetan people located in Nepal.
In Tibet there also exists a tribe of nomads who move between various pastures with their sheep and their goats, and for whom the sale of their animals' wool is an important source of income.
Regarding patterns, we can see a great resemblance to Chinese ones. These rugs are often small given that they were primarily meant for use in houses and temples.
Imported in the 80s.
