Yoshiyuki Kakedo was born in Shiga , Japan in 1953. He came in 1982 to Germany and lived in Düssledorf before he moved to Ettenheim, in Southern Germany, where he lives up to date. His paintings on canvas or MDF are extremely labor intensive and require a lot of mental and physical strength. With the top of a paintbrush he places hundreds of dots. Starting in the center and extending to the sides, he finally creates a grid or mandala which changes and vibrates while watching. The silent, meditative and never ending working process of Yoshiyuki Kakedo is thus transmitted to the viewer. Yoshiyuki Kakedo is represented by Galerie De Zaal in Delft.
