These rugs are made in north-west Iran. They are often large and very hard-wearing, making them perfect for a hallway or a public space. The wool is cut to short or medium length. The snake motif of the border is also striking. This elegant rug has a central roundel reminiscent of the Tabriz rugs. Whilst keeping the traditional side of the main field, its spandrels. in its borders you find a beautiful balance of colours. Green, saffron, salmon and brick, all in harmony, giving an airy feel to the rug. Bakhshayesh are rugs similar to Heriz rugs and the Heriz is considered as one of the most beautiful plain rugs in all Iran.
With its certificate of origin.
Imported in the 80s.
