VARAMIN These rugs were made in the city of Varamin in northern Iran by tribes that had become settled. They are famous for their aesthetically sophisticated rugs with red, orange, ochre and blue hues. More often than not, the rugs display a Mina Khani pattern, which is a repeating pattern with flowers in a square arrangement on a busy central background.
