VULCAIN, otherwise known as 'the watch for presidents'.
This brand is traditionally worn by the presidents of the USA, among which Johnson, Truman ‘Dirty Dick’ Nixon, Ike Eisenhower, Obama (see various photos).
The motto of the famous Vulcain advertising campagn during Eisenhower’s presidency was ‘do as Ike does!’
This is a valuable watch, in very good aesthetic condition and in working order (just been serviced), a collector's item.
Specifically, the Cricket (presented at the New York Waldorf Astoria in 1947) was the first watch to have a mechanical alarm in the world.

'Blue steel' seconds hand.
10 kt filled gold case (with hallmark on case at 12 o'clock) - branded stainless steel case back.
Original dial with valuable age-related patina.
In very good aesthetic condition, with just normal signs of age-related wear on the case, crown with logo in perfect condition, the push button at 2 o'clock is slightly worn, there are no scratches on the crystal.
With new, never worn, genuine leather strap, total length: 24 cm.
With box, no papers.
