This is the Limited Edition Rollei 35S Gold with Sonnar 2.8/40mm, the original gold camera from a series of 1,500 pieces, made at the end of 1979. All metal parts are 24 carat gold-plated. The body is covered with "African Lizard" leather. The inside is lined with beautiful black 'wrinkle paint'. The serial number is engraved in a plate on the back. It says: "0432 Gold-Plated 24 Karat" The camera is in the original mahogany case with the original bag of African Lizard leather. The camera is in very good condition. It has never been used to take pictures with. The wooden case has some scratches, see photos. ************************ I am auctioning this camera not as a user's camera but as a collector's item. I have not tested the camera with film and cannot judge its functioning, maybe it can't be used to take photos. So for this reason I can not take the camera back.
