The item has all the appearance of being a fake.
The foo dog is glued on an ivory base and is of a different, non ivory material. The buyer contacted me saying that he did not want the item, and that he wanted the money back. If I had not done so he would have published this comment. The object is entirely made of elephant ivory, it is authentic and is certified. It's not a fake !!! From the photos it is clearly evident that the underneath is ivory, but it comes from a different tune and, for this reason, has a different tonality. I have published 40 pictures! I wonder how ever, comprehensively, for this object was offered twice the maximum estimate ... Maybe it was a game, badly finished? This is definitely not a correct behavior, catawiki will be informed by me about this affair
The seller will ship the item(s) within 3 working days after receiving confirmation of payment.
