Fiat - 1200 Cabriolet "special cars" - 1962

1962 Fiat 1200 Cabriolet DETAILS - Inspection valid until: October 2018 - Number plates and documents: Italian - Odometer reading: 65,760 km - Engine: 1,221 cc - 58 cv DESCRIPTION Wonderful Fiat 1200 Cabriolet Pininfarina “special cars” from 1962, preserved and not restored. Engine perfectly working, original and well preserved interior, good convertible top (the transparent plastic has a small crack of about 3 mm), tyres are 80% and hard due to age. The car runs like a charm. Inspection is valid until October 2018, Italian number plates and documents, 65,760 km (not verifiable), 1,221 cc, 58 cv, cylinders: 4, speeds: 4 + R, red colour with black and red interior. Sound body, paint showing small scratches or flaws due to age. Sound underbody, however small signs of light rust. Excluding the Pininfarina embellishment, the car has just one decoration reporting “Vetture Speciali” (special cars) on the right fender. This car might have been assembled at Lingotto factories (Fiat factory operational unit “Carrozzerie Speciali del Lingotto”) instead of Pininfarina’s ones, in a limited series (400 units according to an American magazine) destined to clients who wanted a custom car. Unfortunately there are no certain information, as the Fiat archive was destroyed in a fire. The beautiful body by Pininfarina recalls a smaller version of the Ferrari 250 GT. The vehicle has the registration document and the certificate of ownership ready for the change of ownership. This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Naples, Italy.
