To help make selling a vehicle easier, we’ve designed a system for listing vehicles clearly in a standardised way. For our buyers this means a better understanding of the object, less complications, and more clear bidding decisions.
We’ve added a few mandatory fields that help sellers describe their object and its condition even better. This has been separated into 5 conditions, and each label contains a value of 1 to 5. The value definitions are:
Condition (Paint and body)
- Excellent: requiring no conventional body or paintwork
- Very Good: minor chips or scratches, minor conventional body and paintwork
- Good: may require conventional body and paintwork. May require replacement of parts
- Fine: dents, scratches and body panels that require replacement and paintwork
- Needs Restoration: may have sustained major collision damage, parts can be missing
Condition (Interior)
- Excellent: no missing, broken, or damaged parts that require replacement
- Very Good: clean, showing minimal wear. May require replacement of minor missing or broken parts
- Good: shows signs of normal wear and usage. May require repair or replacement of parts
- Fine: shows signs of excess wear. May have burns, cuts, tears, and non-removable stains
- Needs Restoration: may have sustained major damage, parts can be missing
Condition (Frame and underbody)
- Excellent: frame/structure is in a perfect condition, no signs of rust or damages
- Very Good: frame/structure is in a well preserved condition, minor signs of wear
- Good: frame/structure shows minor signs of surface rust, signs of wear, may require some attention
- Fine: frame/structure shows signs of rust, excess wear, requires replacements or work
- Needs Restoration: may have sustained major collision damage, needs welding, parts are missing
Condition (Mechanics)
- Excellent: mechanically sound, no work to be done, no leaks, no service needed
- Very Good: mechanically sound, may require minor service
- Good: mechanically sound. May require maintenance and repair
- Fine: may have mechanical damage. Engine and/or transmission may be in poor condition
- Needs Restoration: may have sustained major collision damage, engine and/or transmission is stuck
Condition (Overall)
- Excellent: excellent and original condition
- Very good: minimal signs of wear
- Good: visible signs of wear and general ageing
- Fine: may require mechanic and cosmetic work
- Needs Restoration: in need of restoration (barn find)
