Candelabra, Statue of goddess with vase - Antimony - Late 19th century
Beautiful and rare antimony candlestick depicting a woman, probably a goddess, holding a vase where to isert a candle.
The item is in very good condition. As the antimony is quite delicate, it is difficult to find it in such condition.
It probably underwent a subsequent bronzy re-coating.
Looking carefully at the inside of the vase, you can see the presence of a recent screw, probably used to strengthen the structure.
An object of great scenic impact and quite rare for its large size.
