An Island to Oneself: The Story of Six Years on a Desert Island
by Tom Neale.
Tom Neale was a New Zealand shopkeeper (6 November 1902 – 27 November 1977). He spent much of his life in the Cook Islands, and a total of 16 years – in three sessions – living alone on the island of Anchorage in the Suwarrow atoll, which was the basis of his popular autobiography An Island To Oneself.
He describes his daily experiences in this book.
After he returned from his second visit in 1964, he wrote the book An Island to Myself (Doubleday, 1966). The book was republished in Great Britain as An Island to Oneself (Collins, 1966).
No writing, inscription or turned down pages. Overall, tight, firm and strong binding. Pages are yellow. With white and black photos.
