This is a so called British military stove No.2 petrol cooker, an originally British cooker for use with gasoline. This copy is a type 2M2. It has been used in the Dutch army (reassessed in 1955, 1969 and 1984). This type of device is still used by enthusiasts for camping. On the accompanying photos is visible that the forerunner of these (No. 1) was used in the second World War (the black/white picture is for demonstration purposes only and is not part of this lot). It is a very compact device, as it is in closed condition about 25x25x13 cm (l x w x h). This is one of the reasons why this model is still used by campers. All in all a nice stove in good condition, that fits well in a British or Dutch military display.
